Animal Protective Services
On Thursday May 25, 2023 board members of the Robeson County Health Department unanimously voted to transfer the entire Animal Control Division to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office. With the exception of rabies shot distribution, all services of the Animal Control Division will begin operations on July 1, 2023 as the Animal Protective Services Division of the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office. The Robeson County Animal Protective Services Division is lead by the Animal Protective Services Supervisor and Animal Protective Services Officers. Animal Protective Services Officers pick up stray animals and work closely with the Animal Shelter to facilitate pet adoptions, rabies vaccinations, as well as spay and neuter programs.
